Seed Round

Pilot with Veho in Austin

RIVR began a pilot with the parcel delivery company Veho in Austin, Texas, in which its four-wheeled, stair-climbing robot carried packages from Veho vans to customers’ doors; at first, a single robot accompanied by an employee ran daily for about two weeks. The company said at the time that it hoped to scale to 100 robots the following year.[2]

Acquired by Amazon

TechCrunch reported on March 19, 2026, that Amazon had acquired RIVR; the terms were not disclosed. The careers link on RIVR’s website now points to Amazon’s jobs site.[1][3]

Company Profile

RIVR was renamed from Swiss-Mile, and its website says it is building “General Physical AI” by deploying autonomous legged robots for doorstep delivery. Co-founder and CEO Marko Bjelonic has described the robot as a “dog on roller skates.”[4][3][1]
