Distinguishing Acquisitions and Shutdowns from Investment Returns
Some publicly listed projects have undergone acquisitions or business changes. For example, Blowfish was acquired by Phantom and its original standalone security service was discontinued; Yield’s website has also announced its closure. Public companies, tradable tokens, acquired companies, and historical projects in the firm’s public directory therefore cannot uniformly be interpreted as current holdings, nor can project funding amounts, company valuations, token market prices, or client claim recovery rates be treated as returns Paradigm has realized.[49][48][20]
