National Post是加拿大全國性日報，1998年由Conrad Black創辦，2000—2002年轉歸CanWest Global Communications，2010年起歸PostmediaPostmediaPostmedia（Postmedia Network Canada Corp.）是總部位於多倫多的加拿大新聞媒體公司，2010年收購Canwest旗下報紙資產而成立，2015年併入Sun Media英文報刊；2016年資本重組後，由Chatham Asset Management擔任投資顧問的基金成為其主要股東。點擊查看完整詞條所有。

1998年10月27日創刊
National Post由Conrad Black創辦，首期於1998年10月27日出版；Black在創刊前數月買下Financial Post並將其併入新報。他當時表示“There’s certainly room for two papers out there”（市場上當然容得下兩份報紙）。[1]
2000年11月16日CanWest取得50%權益
CanWest Global Communications於2000年11月16日完成以約31億加元收購Hollinger幾乎全部加拿大報紙和互聯網資產，其中包括National Post的50%權益。[2]
Hollinger在打造該報讀者群的過程中虧損5,500萬加元。[1]
2001年8月24日Hollinger同意出售剩餘權益
Hollinger International與Hollinger Inc.同意將所持National Post另一半權益出售給CanWest，Hollinger人員自9月1日起辭去該報管理職務；Hollinger稱這是“a painful, but a sensible decision”（痛苦但明智的決定）。[3]
2002年4月CanWest全資擁有
該交易於2002年4月完成。National Post是加拿大兩份全國性日報之一，截至2002年9月30日的六個月平均日發行量為254,909份。[2]
2008年Paul Godfrey出任總裁
Paul Godfrey自2008年起擔任National Post總裁，此後於2010年出任新成立的Postmedia首席執行官。[4]
2009年10月27日Canwest申請轉移該報
在《公司債權人安排法》程序中，Canwest申請法院批准將National Post的資產和業務轉入Canwest Publishing Inc.新設的子公司，新公司將向全部員工提供職位並承擔該報的養老金計劃。[5]
2009年10月30日法院批准轉移
安大略省高等法院批准該轉移併發出歸屬令，交易預計於10月31日完成。[6]
2010年7月13日歸入Postmedia
Postmedia Network Canada Corp.完成收購Canwest Limited Partnership幾乎全部資產，National Post Inc.隨之歸入Postmedia。[7]
2017年9月29日工會組織投票
該報編輯部員工於2017年9月發起加入Communications Workers of America加拿大分會的工會組織活動，並於9月29日投票；2018年4月26日，安大略勞資關係委員會就兩張爭議選票作出裁定後，組建工會以31票對32票失敗。[8]
