Gregory Aldrete

2007年出版Floods of the Tiber in Ancient Rome
2007年由Johns Hopkins University Press出版的Floods of the Tiber in Ancient Rome彙集了公元前414年至公元398年間42段關於羅馬洪水的古代文獻，並藉助水文模型推斷洪水的頻率與規模，認為臺伯河淹沒羅馬的次數遠多於史料記載。[6][7]
書評人Eric Kondratieff同時認為，書中關於災後心理創傷和政府救災的討論證據不足，洪水與神意的部分也未充分展開。[6]

2013年出版亞麻胸甲研究專著
Linothorax Project由他與2007屆畢業生Scott Bartell共同發起，師生依據圖像與文獻復原古希臘人以多層亞麻膠合而成的胸甲，並以箭射、劈砍和鈍擊進行測試，其中包括由志願者穿著測試。[9]
團隊蒐集了900多幅古代圖像建立數據庫，用統計方法分析胸甲樣式，並仿製地中海地區使用的箭鏃進行測試。[10]
他們發現這種胸甲由多層亞麻和兔皮膠製成，並出版專著Reconstructing Ancient Linen Body Armor；Aldrete表示，在公元前600年至前200年間，穿著它足以抵禦當時的各種箭矢。[11]

2014—2015年任美國考古學會Joukowsky全國講座講者
他被選為美國考古學會（Archaeological Institute of America）2014—2015年度Joukowsky全國講座講者。[5]
2014年5月在Journal of Roman Studies發表羅馬獻祭研究
2014年，他在Journal of Roman Studies發表論文，結合古代雕刻、比較史料與動物生理學，重新解釋羅馬獻祭中錘與斧的不同用途，以及宰殺牛隻並放血的具體方式。[12]
2015年獲UW System董事會教學卓越獎

軍事史書評人Mike Markowitz稱該書指出電影製作和營銷嚴重扭曲了古羅馬形象，尤其是羅馬戰爭的呈現，並稱贊書中29幅整頁插圖。[16]
