The company announced a $43.9 million investment, including participation by affiliates of Starwood Capital and Freedom Mortgage, and disclosed Freddie Mac and Federal Housing Administration servicing approvals.[1]
October 23, 2024Completing a $100 Million Series C
WestCap led the round, with participation from a16z and other new and existing investors, bringing disclosed cumulative funding to $230 million. WestCap partner Josh Dart joined the board, and the proceeds were intended for product development and market expansion.[5]
February 2, 2026Expanding the Rithm and Newrez Partnership
Rithm announced significant minority ownership in Valon. Its Newrez business planned to migrate servicing for more than four million homeowners to ValonOS, with the transition scheduled to begin in 2027.[6]
August 4, 2026Selling the Mortgage-Servicing Subsidiary
Carrington completed its acquisition of Valon Mortgage from Valon Technologies, covering approximately 810,000 loans, and adopted ValonOS as its core servicing platform. Valon Technologies continued operating as an independent software company.[7]
October 5, 2026Raising a $150 Million Series D
Valon announced a $150 million Series D at a $2.3 billion valuation, double its previous valuation. Ribbit CapitalRibbit CapitalRibbit Capital is a venture-capital firm founded in 2012 by Meyer “Micky” Malka and headquartered in Palo Alto, California. It began with financial-technology investing and has expanded into AI, commerce and related infrastructure. ValonOS combines loan records, money movement, workflows and audit trails. In October 2026, the company’s website reported over $200 billion in unpaid principal balance on the platform and contracts covering one in six U.S. mortgages.
