Tristan Thompson is a Canadian basketball player born on March 13, 1991. A frontcourt player who has represented Canada internationally, he was selected fourth overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2011 NBA Draft and won the 2016 championship with the team. Tristan Trevor James Thompson was born in Toronto, Canada, and grew up in Brampton, Ontario.[1]

He attended St. Marguerite d’Youville in Brampton and St. Benedict’s Preparatory School in New Jersey before transferring to Nevada’s Findlay Prep in February 2009. Alongside Cory Joseph, he helped Findlay win consecutive ESPN RISE National High School Invitational titles.[1]

He sued World Mobile in Delaware’s Court of Chancery, alleging improper termination in March 2026 of a two-year endorsement agreement worth up to $2 million and continued use of his name and likeness.
