Ryan Serhant

Ryan Serhant (born July 2, 1984) is an American real estate broker, entrepreneur, author and television personality, and founder and CEO of SERHANT. He appeared on Million Dollar Listing New York, hosted Sell It Like Serhant and participates in Netflix’s Owning Manhattan, which follows his brokerage.

S.MPLE Copyright Case Stayed

Homi sued Serhant Real Estate, alleging that S.MPLE used its code; the defendant company asserted contractual ownership. The court stayed the lawsuit pending arbitration with former president Josh Team but declined to compel Homi to arbitrate. This was not an infringement ruling, and Ryan Serhant was not a named defendant.⁠[21][22]

Company Commission-dispute Ruling

In a commission dispute brought by Serhant LLC, New York’s appellate court reversed the company’s judgment on its contractual-interference claim against Douglas Elliman and Josh Rubin and granted their request for dismissal. It found the brokerage agreement’s automatic-renewal clause invalid. The ruling concerned the company’s claim.⁠[23]

Colorado Expansion

The firm announced entry into the Denver metropolitan market with eleven founding agents. Its announcement reported more than two thousand agents and two hundred full-time team members across the business.⁠[24]

Illinois Expansion

The company announced expansion into metropolitan Chicago and the North Shore, following its entries into Massachusetts, Texas, California and Colorado earlier that year.⁠[25]
