Partners Banka
Partners Banka is a Czech commercial bank headquartered in Prague that combines mobile banking with the Partners financial-adviser network. Its legal predecessor was established in 2020, obtained a banking licence in 2023 and began public operations in March 2024. Key facts
2020–2022incorporation and licence application
The predecessor company, Partners Branka, a.s., was established on December 4, 2020 to seek a Czech banking licence. It applied on December 23, 2021 and submitted a revised application on December 29, 2022 following requirements from the Czech National Bank.[1]
2023banking licence and name change
The Czech National Bank granted the banking licence on August 25, 2023, with the decision becoming final on August 29. The company changed its name to Partners Banka, a.s. on September 13. Licensing preceded the public launch of banking services.[1]
March 2024public launch
Partners Banka began public operations in March 2024 and formally launched on March 6. Its initial offering used a mobile app alongside advisers and franchise branches, with individual, couple and family account packages. Disclosed capital invested at launch was about CZK 3 billion.[2]
June 2024co-CEO arrangement
On June 10, 2024, Partners announced that Petr Borkovec would become the bank’s vice-chair and co-CEO, overseeing products, distribution and marketing. Marek Ditz remained chair and CEO, focusing on lending, technology, people, finance and compliance.[3]
March 2025first operating anniversary
At its first anniversary, the bank reported about 108,000 customers and roughly CZK 43 billion in deposits. It said consumer lending began in autumn 2024 and mortgages in late February 2025. These anniversary figures describe a different reporting date from the subsequent year-end accounts.[4]
Year-end 2025: customers, deposits and losses
The 2025 annual report recorded about 162,000 year-end customers, CZK 40.746 billion in deposits and CZK 4.911 billion in loans. The after-tax loss was CZK 300 million, versus CZK 395 million before tax. The bank primarily attributed the larger-than-planned loss to deposits falling short of expectations.[5]
February 1, 2026Borkovec becomes CEO
The bank announced on January 22, 2026 that Marek Ditz would leave on February 1 and Petr Borkovec would become CEO. The changes also included Tomáš Kořínek becoming vice-chair and daily-banking head Hana Wallenfelsová joining the board.[6]
August 10, 2026in-app bitcoin service
An August 5 announcement scheduled in-app bitcoin trading for August 10 and described Partners as the first domestic Czech bank with this mobile-banking feature. Customers could activate a crypto account and purchase from CZK 500 using bank-account funds. Anycoin handles execution and custody; the “first” description is the bank’s own claim.[7][8]

The bank combines accounts, payments, savings and lending with financial advisers and an app for personal and family finances. It is part of the broader Partners financial-business network. The group’s description specifies that regulatory structuring places the bank outside direct ownership by Partners HoldCo.[9][10]

The current product page defines the bank’s role as receiving and transmitting orders; MP Developers s.r.o., Anycoin’s operator, supplies execution, custody and pricing. Activation and account maintenance are free, while transactions carry a combined 2% charge:1.5% for the bank and 0.5% for the provider. Crypto-assets are outside bank-deposit insurance.[8]
