Key facts
Early Life: Kapp’s Longevity Clinic
The company’s chief executive officer, William Kapp, is an orthopedic surgeon who went from private practice to co-founding and then selling a company that built critical care hospitals. At a medical conference hosted by physician-scientist Daniel Kraft, he heard XPRIZE Foundation founder Peter Diamandis and stem cell researcher Robert Hariri discuss new technologies such as genomics and microbiomics; he then returned to his hometown of Naples, Florida, and opened a clinic called Longevity Performance Center, focused on early disease detection and health optimization.[1][1][1][1][1][1]
March–October 2020: The Merger That Formed Fountain Life
In March 2020, Diamandis and Tony Robbins heard about Kapp’s clinic and visited. The two had a stem cell startup called Fountain Therapeutics, talks soon turned to a merger, and by October that year the two companies had combined as Fountain Life. Kapp remained chief executive officer, with Diamandis and Robbins as co-founders and board members; the company later presented Robbins, Diamandis and Hariri as its 2020 founders, with Kapp as co-founder and chief executive officer.[1][1][1][1][2][2]
November 30, 2021Fountain OS and a Private Club Partnership
On November 30, 2021, Fountain Life announced a partnership with Bonita Bay Club, a private golf and sports club in Bonita Springs, Florida. The club became the first private club to offer its members diagnostic testing through Fountain Life’s white-label software Fountain OS; this “biotech bar” system let businesses sell tests to their customers through their own branded app and website, starting with an AI-enhanced coronary CT angiogram. The company said such tests were approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration but typically not covered by insurance.[3][3][3][3][3][3]
March 2022The Lake Nona Forum and Headquarters Plans
In March 2022, the four co-founders, Diamandis, Robbins, Hariri and Kapp, spoke at the Lake Nona Impact Forum in the Lake Nona community of Orlando, Florida, and the company announced it would open a clinic and its global headquarters in Lake Nona later that year. Diamandis was then chairman of the board; Robbins had co-written a new book on precision medicine, Life Force, with Diamandis and Hariri. The company also said Kapp was building a new type of health insurance, Fountain Health, that would cover preventive diagnostics.[4][4][4][4][4]
October 17, 2022Sponsoring the Wellness Moonshot
On October 17, 2022, the wellness-industry research organization Global Wellness Institute announced that Fountain Life would be the exclusive sponsor of its 2023 Wellness Moonshot campaign, which aims for a world free of preventable disease; Fountain Life was also a Diamond Sponsor of that year’s Global Wellness Summit in Tel Aviv, Israel. The center offered executive blood panels, full-body and brain MRI and coronary CT angiography, along with a blood test that the company said could detect more than 50 cancers as early as stage 0 to 1.[6][6][6][6]
December 2022Eos Investment and Management Changes
On December 15, 2022, Fountain Life announced $15 million in funding from the insurtech investor Eos Venture Partners and the British home-care company Newcross Healthcare, to support expansion including its insurance business. The company had by then set up a subsidiary, Fountain Health Insurance, focused on spending more of its premiums on preventive care; it had opened centers in Naples, White Plains, Dallas and Rishikesh, India, with a Lake Nona center under development, and planned more centers in the U.S. and abroad in 2023, while members could also receive services via telehealth where permitted by law.[2][2][2][2][2][2]
On December 22, Shawn Buchheit, who had joined in 2021 as global vice president of business development, was promoted to chief operating officer, overseeing operations of Fountain Life Management and Fountain Health Insurance; he had previously been vice president of global business development at the fitness-equipment company Technogym.[7][7][7][7]
February 16, 2023The Lake Nona Center and Headquarters in Orlando
On February 16, 2023, Fountain Life opened its fourth precision diagnostic center, a 10,000-square-foot facility in Orlando’s Lake Nona community, developed in partnership with the community’s developer, Tavistock Development Company; Lake Nona also became the company’s new headquarters site.[8][8][8][8][8]
On April 18 that year, Helen Messier, who had joined in 2022 as chief clinical and scientific officer, was promoted to chief medical officer, leading the medical, clinical and scientific teams and overseeing the establishment of Fountain Life University to train certified practitioners; she had previously been medical director of genomics at Human Longevity and founding chief medical officer of Viome.[9][9][9][9][9]
December 2023Acquisition of LifeOmic
In December 2023, Fountain Life announced the acquisition of the health data technology company LifeOmic, taking ownership of all its intellectual property, including the LifeOmic platform and software, a patient mobile app and a suite of consumer apps, and adding its team of coders, designers and engineers; financial terms were not disclosed. The company said the LifeOmic platform, with cloud storage, genomic data analysis, electronic health record integration and artificial intelligence capabilities, would become the technology backbone of its services.[10][10][10][10][10][10]
March 25, 2025Houston Center Announced
On March 25, 2025, Fountain Life announced that its fifth precision diagnostic center would open in October 2025 in the Park House building in Houston, its second center in Texas after Dallas. The company claimed that its proactive screening had identified potentially life-threatening conditions in 14% of seemingly healthy members.[11][11][11][11][11]
April 22, 2025Miami Center Announced
On April 22, 2025, Fountain Life announced that it would open its sixth flagship center in One Thousand Museum, a 62-story tower in downtown Miami designed by Zaha Hadid, offering full-body and brain MRI, genetic and metabolic profiling and cardiac imaging, and that it had partnered with Philips to bring in its Spectral CT 7500 and Ambition 1.5T MRI systems.[12][12][12][12][12][12]
August 13, 2025An $18 Million Series B
On August 13, 2025, Fountain Life announced an $18 million Series B round led by EOS Ventures, with participation from most existing board members; Kapp said the company had previously raised an $80 million Series A and about $108 million in total. The board then also included Hariri as an adviser, and as investors Todd Wanek, chief executive officer of Ashley Furniture Industries, and the Indian businessman B.K. Modi.[1][1][1]
At the time the company had four centers (Naples, Orlando, Dallas and Westchester, New York) and planned to open a Houston center that December and centers in Los Angeles and Miami in the second quarter of 2026. A full membership cost $21,500 a year, covering a series of tests and access to a physician but not extended medical care; a $10,500 tier covered only the testing process and the AI tool, without ongoing tests and medical support. Kapp acknowledged the price was high and said he hoped to lower costs by training other medical facilities on the company’s methods.[1][1][1][1][1][1]
September 2025Introducing the AI Tool Zori
In September 2025, Kapp and chief technology officer Chris Hemp presented Zori, an AI tool developed by the company: members can use it to understand their medical records in plain language, and clinicians can use it to collate a member’s test data over several years, as well as data from more than 10,000 members. Kapp said Zori is a decision-support tool for clinicians and members and will not replace physicians.[13][13][13][13]

She said the company had been recognized as Longevity Clinic of the Year 2025 at the International Longevity Awards and that it would scale by combining advanced diagnostics, precision biomarkers and AI-enabled longitudinal care with lifestyle medicine. The company then had four clinics in Florida, Texas and New York and planned new centers in Houston, Miami and Los Angeles.[14][14][14][14][14][14]

Membership Services and Company-Claimed Results
Fountain Life offers three membership tiers: CORE, APEX and APEX Family. The membership process includes a consultation, testing completed in a single day (which the company says generates 150 GB of health data), a personal health plan drawn up by the care team, use of the Zori app, ongoing follow-up, optional restorative therapies and annual repeat testing. Zori is built into the company’s app, is powered by the company’s functional medicine large language model and can connect wearable-device data. Restorative therapies are offered at the Naples center; the company notes that stem cell therapy is not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and advises members to consult their primary care provider first.[18][18][18][19][19][19][19][20][20][18][21]
The company claims that its AI-guided diagnostics deliver a cancer detection rate four times that of standard screening, that 80% of members achieve measurable health improvements and that 31% of members stabilized or reversed dangerous cardiac plaque, and says these results come from its CORE and APEX member data; longevity as a field of serious medical study is still new.[22][22][19][1]
