Clayton Riddell

Clayton Howard Riddell 1937年生於加拿大曼尼托巴省 Treherne 附近的農場，在溫尼伯長大。⁠[1][2][3]

1969年起，Riddell 自行創業，開辦 C.H. 1976年，Riddell 創立 Paramount Resources，公司於1978年12月上市。Paramount 以在管道盡頭之外的地區作業為經營模式。⁠[1][2][3]

1992年，Riddell 參與創建由 Canadian Petroleum Association 與 Independent Petroleum Association of Canada 合併而成的 Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers（CAPP），後任該協會主席；他也曾任 Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists 會長。⁠[2][3]

Paramount 先後分拆出 Paramount Energy Trust（後來的 Perpetual Energy）與 Trilogy Energy Trust，2007年又分拆出 MGM Energy Corp.，在 Mackenzie Valley 與 Mackenzie Delta 勘探開發油氣；Riddell 自 Perpetual Energy 分拆起任其董事長。⁠[3][3][2][1]

他先後入選 Calgary Business Hall of Fame（2006年）、Canadian Petroleum Hall of Fame（2015年）與 Canadian Business Hall of Fame（2017年），獲 Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists 的 Stanley Slipper Gold Medal（1999年）、American Association of Petroleum Geologists 的 Outstanding Explorer 獎（2004年）等行業獎項，並獲 University of Manitoba（2004年）、Carleton University（2014年）與 Southern Alberta Institute of Technology（2017年）榮譽學位。他的慈善捐贈還包括卡爾加里 Mount Royal University 的 Riddell Library and Learning Centre。⁠[1][1][1][2]
