1999年，Bronfman 出任 United Jewish Communities（今 Jewish Federations of North America）首任主席。[2]
2000年出售 Seagram
2000年，Bronfman 與侄子 Edgar Bronfman Jr. 把家族酒業公司 Seagram 以300億美元出售給 Vivendi。2001年，他結束在 Seagram 的50年職業生涯，以聯席董事長身份退休。[1][2]

2016年，Bronfman 與作家 Howard Green 合作的回憶錄 Distilled: A Memoir of Family, Seagram, Baseball & Philanthropy 出版，成為加拿大暢銷書。同年，他卸任 Andrea and Charles Bronfman Philanthropies 主席，此前擔任該職30年；這一基金會群在加拿大、以色列和美國開展資助。[2][3]

Bronfman 是 Birthright Israel 的聯合創辦人，他主持的基金會的代表性項目還包括 Heritage Minutes。他是 McGill Institute for the Study of Canada 和 Historica Canada 的創始聯合主席，至今仍任兩機構董事，並任 Israel Policy Forum 董事、主持其顧問委員會。他簽署了 The Giving Pledge，已捐出或承諾捐出至少3.5億美元。[2][3][1]
