Adoniram Judson Gordon（1836—1895），常用名A. J. Gordon，是美國浸信會牧師、作家及讚美詩作曲家。他長期主持波士頓Clarendon Street Baptist Church，並於1889年創辦Boston Missionary Training School，即Gordon College的前身。
《How Christ Came to Church》卷首生平年表記載，Gordon於1863年6月在Jamaica Plain受按立，同年10月13日與Maria Hale結婚。[1]
1869年轉往波士頓牧會
1869年12月，Gordon轉往波士頓。他從1869年至1895年擔任Clarendon Street Baptist Church牧師，推動教會參與海外傳教，也通過演講和寫作擴大宗教教育活動。[1][3]
1871—1888年：參與海外傳教組織
Gordon自1871年起參加American Baptist Missionary Union的執行委員會，1888年後擔任主席。1884年，他參與協調該組織接手剛果河地區的Livingstone Inland Mission。1886年，他在Dwight L. Moody於Northfield舉行的會議上演講，該次會議與學生志願傳教運動的形成有關。[3]
1889年10月創辦傳教培訓學校
1889年，Gordon創辦Boston Missionary Training School，並於10月2日開課。他希望為無法進入傳統大學或神學院的人提供聖經、神學與教會史教育，尤其主張有傳教志向的女性及有色人種也應有受教育機會。該校後來發展為Gordon College；校方歷任校長名單將他的任期列為1889年至1895年。[5][6]
至1894年：著作、讚美詩與社會主張
Gordon撰寫宗教著作並編輯《The Watchword》。其作品包括《In Christ》《Congregational Worship》《The Ministry of Healing》及《The Ministry of the Spirit》，也為《My Jesus, I Love Thee》譜曲。校方傳記記載，他支持廢除奴隸制、女性參與宗教工作與女性投票權，並支持禁酒運動。[4]
1895年2月去世
Gordon於1895年2月2日去世，終年58歲。學校在他去世後更名為Gordon Missionary Training School，以紀念其創辦人。[1][5]
1896年傳記出版
1896年，Ernest Barron Gordon出版《Adoniram Judson Gordon: A Biography with Letters and Illustrative Extracts Drawn from Unpublished or Uncollected Sermons and Addresses》。波士頓大學的傳教史書目收錄了這部傳記及Gordon的多部著作，Gordon-Conwell神學院圖書館則收藏了他的文獻。[3]
