1974年末一份電傳促成創辦
1974年末，後來的創辦人Essa bin Mohammed Al Zedjali收到一份電傳，這成為創辦Times of Oman的契機。[1]
1975年2月23日創刊
1975年2月23日，Times of Oman以小報開本創刊；此後每年2月23日都是該報的重要紀念日。[2]
1975—1982年每週出版
早期讀者回憶，1975年該報是一份週報；1982年時它仍是每週出版一次的小型小報，後來才改為日報。[3]
1991年由週報改為日報
董事長Mohammed Issa Al Zadjali表示，該報於1991年由週報改為日報，並且是第一份通過新聞傳送服務發往全球的英文報紙。[4]
1998年上線網站

2018年，該報所屬媒體集團推出電臺TFM。[8]
截至2026年10月：每週出版五天
截至2026年10月，Times of Oman由Muscat Media Group（MMG）SAOC出版，每週日至週四出版；MMG董事長Mohammed Essa Al Zedjali兼任該報總編輯。[6]
