Key facts
2025Founding
Ploy was founded in 2025 by Bryant Chou, who had been co-founder and CTO of Vungle and, from 2013 to 2025, co-founder and CTO of Webflow; he describes Ploy as the third company he has started.[1][2]
Chou said that while CTO at Webflow he also started its sales and marketing teams; he argued that growth teams had come to spend too much time stitching together tools, dashboards and attribution models, which he called “measureship,” and set out to use AI agents so that small teams could run marketing at the level of large growth teams.[2]
June 2026General Availability and $27 Million Seed Round
On June 15, 2026 Ploy made its product generally available and announced that it had raised $27 million from First Round Capital and Y Combinator. The round, a seed round led by the two firms, brought the company out of stealth. Angel investors included Ashley Sapien of Hex, Kai Mak of Together AI, Josh Kim of Cursor, Sherwin Wu of OpenAIOpenAIOpenAI is an artificial intelligence research and product organization founded in 2015 that develops the GPT model series, ChatGPT, Codex and a developer API, and conducts research on image, speech, video and intelligent agents. Its growth has involved large-scale fundraising and compute partnerships, and has also been accompanied by controversies over governance, copyright, privacy and AI safety.Open the full entry, Lenny Rachitsky, Ben Lang and Eoghan McCabe.[2][3]
At launch Ploy said customers were already running sites and marketing workflows on the platform: Hex used it to generate landing pages for enterprise account-based marketing (ABM), Clay to create programmatic SEO pages from its own data, and the agencies Tonik and TNT Growth to build and run client sites, with TNT Growth producing pages for more than 50 clients.[2][3]
Products
Ploy treats a company’s website as the hub connecting its growth channels, with AI agents that design pages, write copy, run campaigns, optimize performance and sync data back to the CRM. Features listed on its website include a website builder, an agentic CMS, hosting, SEO and AEO (answer engine optimization), account-based marketing and visitor de-anonymization.[4][3]
Ploy says its agent runs a “Monitor-Act-Surface” loop: it monitors traffic, SEO and AEO rankings, visitor data and competitor sites, drafts pages and runs repeatable marketing workflows called Ploybooks, and surfaces recommendations, with no change going live without the user’s approval. Developers can edit the site’s code locally through GitHub sync. The platform has a free tier and usage-based paid plans.[5]
