Key facts
Early career: adtech and moving to the United States
In an interview, Davidov recalled studying in Edinburgh with Marina, working in systems integration, adtech and investment, and later moving their entrepreneurial activity to the United States. He linked that move partly to geopolitical disruption of cross-border deals.[1]
Before DVC: company building and investment
He and Marina previously co-founded AI camera company Cherry Labs and invested in early AI companies at Gagarin Capital. His background also includes iTech Capital and growth work at MSQRD.[2]
2021co-founding DVC
Nick and Marina Davidova started DVC in 2021, involving founders, engineers and angel investors in its investment model. They are also spouses and had worked together across startups and funds before DVC.[2]
2025investment approach
In a September 2025 interview, Davidov emphasized early AI applications and repeat founders, describing language models as an interface to business activity. He said investments were predominantly in the Bay Area at that time.[3]
