Kauffman Fellows
Kauffman Fellows 是面向風險投資從業者的非營利教育與同行網絡，以兩年制研修項目為核心，運營法人為 Center for Venture Education。項目源於 Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation，1995年啟動首屆，截至2026年網絡約有1,060名 Fellows。

1993年項目構想
Phil Wickham 將項目構想追溯到1993年；當時業內普遍認為風險投資是無法傳授的“black art”（黑箱技藝）。[1]
Kauffman Foundation 董事會曾為此爭論，有反對者稱之為“investing in the enemy”（投資於敵人）；Michie Slaughter 主持討論後，董事會決定投入。[2]
SEC 2005年的公告則稱項目始於1994年。[3]
1995年首屆學員啟動
項目於1995年作為 Kauffman Foundation 的計劃啟動。[4]
早期學員多來自其他行業，入選後由一流風險投資機構錄用，兩年薪資由 Kauffman 方面支付。[5]
1997年首屆畢業

2000年從基金會分拆
基金會的機構史稱，項目於2000年分拆為獨立實體。[4]
2001年組建獨立董事會

2002年轉為學費制
2002年，Kauffman Fellows 成為學費制的501(c)(3)研究生教育機構。[5]
2002年2月取得免稅資格
Center for Venture Education 於2002年2月獲美國國稅局免稅資格，僱主識別號48-1249429。[8]
2005年1月19日Patrick von Bargen 獲任 CEO
SEC 宣佈，其管理主管 Patrick von Bargen 將於2月底離職，出任 Center for Venture Education CEO，負責在國內外擴展項目。[3]
2007年與 TrueBridge 建立關係
TrueBridge Capital Partners 於2007年由 Mel Williams 和 Edwin Poston 創辦，同年與項目建立關係，使 Fellows 與 TrueBridge 基金互通；其3.11億美元一期基金於2008年募集完成。[9]
TrueBridge 是獨立機構，自述管理資產於2023年超過65億美元。[9]
2011年6月30日十五週年回顧
Wickham 寫道，項目由2002年一筆380萬美元撥款起步，已擴展至40個國家；48名 Fellows 創辦了新基金，30多人出任創業公司 CEO。[2]
2014年轉向終身學習
2014年起，項目定位為以兩年課程為起點的終身學習體驗，招生以新興與成熟基金管理人為主。[5]
2014年9月29日Venture Deals 在線課程

2015年5月26日提出影子資本概念
項目20週年前夕，Wickham 稱全球已有400多名 Fellows，並把財務資本以外的人力、知識、流程和文化資本稱為“shadow capital”（影子資本）。[1]
2016年CEO 交接
2008年起任 CEO 的 Wickham 於2016年將職務交給第16屆 Fellow Jeff Harbach，此後任董事會主席至2020年。[7]
同年，Kauffman Foundation 與 Kauffman Fellows 推出獎學金計劃，以緩解美國中西部的資金缺口。[11]
基金會當時稱 Kauffman Fellows 總部設在 Silicon Valley。[11]
2017年6月首批中西部獎學金學員
Lisa Feria、Thad Langford、Scott Bernstein 和 Victor Gutwein 獲首批獎學金；該計劃總額96萬美元，三年內每年資助四人。[12]
2017年11月協助 BDC 設計 GP Academy
加拿大 BDC Capital 當年5月推出 GP Academy 訓練營，課程在 Kauffman Fellows 的諮詢下設計。[13]
2019年3月25日Venture Deals 學員逾1.5萬
與 Techstars 合辦的 Venture Deals 課程開放春季報名，此前已辦四期，完成者逾1.5萬人。[14]
2019年10月3日女性創辦人研究
Kauffman Fellows Research Center 分析9萬多家公司，發現女性創辦公司佔比從2001年的4%升至2018年的21.6%。[15]
2020年2月4日族裔代表性研究
研究與 MaC Venture CapitalMaC Venture CapitalMaC Venture Capital 是一家美國早期風險投資機構，主要投資種子期科技企業，以文化、行為和技術變化作為尋找創業機會的重要線索。機構在洛杉磯與舊金山開展業務，投資範圍包括前沿技術、金融創新、企業及消費產品。點擊查看完整詞條 合作，用 Clarifai 模型從26萬多張頭像推斷“perceived ethnicity”（被感知族裔），並非本人自報。[16]
有多元族裔創辦人的團隊已實現回報倍數中位數為3.26倍，全白人團隊為2.50倍。[16]
結果顯示，黑人和拉丁裔高管分別佔2.1%和2.6%；回報分析只計入被收購或上市的公司。[16]

第25屆共61人，女性佔41%。[17]
2021年3月5日介紹28位黑人 Fellows
機構在黑人歷史月期間通過 X 賬號逐日介紹28位黑人 Fellows，並彙總成文。[18]
2022年2月24日重啟 Venture Deals 課程
與 Techstars 合辦約十年的課程重新錄製後重啟，累計參與者逾4萬人。[19]

第28屆共60人，來自16國；網絡增至882人，覆蓋58國、765家機構。[20]
2024年1月16日Fernando Fabre 接任 CEO
第14屆 Fellow Fernando Fabre 接替任 CEO 七年半的 Harbach；882名 Fellows 中有536人在其任內十年間加入，並推出 Kauffman Fellows Fund I。[21]
Harbach 曾通過 Kauffman Fellows Fund 投資 ZoomZoomZoom 是袁徵於2011年創辦的企業通信與協作軟件公司，總部位於美國加利福尼亞州聖何塞，現名 Zoom Communications, Inc.，納斯達克股票代碼 ZM。公司以視頻會議產品起步，逐步擴展到雲電話、聯絡中心、員工體驗和 AI 工作助手，主要通過軟件訂閱獲得收入。點擊查看完整詞條、Carta、Groww 等公司。[22]

Fabre 是 Matterscale Ventures 聯合創辦人，曾任 Endeavor 總裁。[23]
2024年9月15—18日Montréal 峰會
年度峰會在 Montréal 舉行，由加拿大 BDC 合作主辦，吸引45國以上的投資人。[24]
此前峰會曾在肯尼亞、墨西哥、阿聯酋、日本、以色列、新加坡和巴西舉辦；當時機構有940多名 Fellows，來自60多國。[25]
2024年11月13日在 SEC 諮詢委員會發言
董事、首屆學員 Karen Kerr 在 SEC 小企業資本形成諮詢委員會介紹研修項目如何支持新興基金管理人。[26]
2025年6月17日第30屆學員
創立30週年時，第30屆66人來自20國，合計管理資產1,020億美元，76%為合夥人以上職級；該屆有限合夥人人數為歷來最多。[27]

該財年 Center for Venture Education 收入558萬美元，支出655萬美元，年末總資產1.257億美元；總資產在2021財年由約4,966萬美元增至約1.07億美元。[8]
2026年4月Zero to Four 研究
機構發佈 Zero to Four 研究，總結投資第四隻以上基金的機構共有的五項特徵。[28]
2026年6月9日第31屆學員
第31屆55人來自13國，合計管理資產1,010億美元，女性佔38%，有限合夥人佔15%。[29]
該屆52%為合夥人以上職級，成長期投資者人數翻倍。[29]
2026年9月15日第32屆開放申請
第32屆申請開放，最終截止日為2027年1月11日，3月公佈結果；兩年學費8萬美元，不含差旅。[30]
早期申請截止日為2026年11月16日，申請費100美元，之後為300美元；獎學金按需評定。[30]
截至2026年10月：課程設置
課程含五次四天線下模塊、全球峰會、至少兩次區域考察和24次月度小組會，學員須在第二模塊前確定導師。[31]
教學構成為20%工作坊、40%行業講座和40%同伴學習。[31]
BDC Capital 以部分獎學金資助了14名加拿大候選人。[32]

網絡有1,060名 Fellows、來自680家機構，設11個地區分會和10個專題小組。[33]
