Rick Ross

Rick Ross, born William Leonard Roberts II, is an American rapper, entrepreneur and author. He broke through with Hustlin’ and his debut album Port of Miami, founded Maybach Music Group, and expanded into Wingstop franchising, car shows and publishing. His albums include Teflon Don, God Forgives, I Don’t and Set In Stone.

Ricky D. Ross sued over alleged appropriation of his name and identity. California’s Court of Appeal held that the rapper’s name and persona incorporated substantial creative elements protected by the First Amendment, affirming summary judgment for the defendants. Miami Beach Case

He was arrested in Miami Beach on felony battery-by-strangulation and misdemeanor battery charges, then released on bond.
