Mike Sherbakov is an entrepreneur, venture capitalist and U.S. Marine Corps veteran based in the United States. He is co-founder and General Partner of The Veteran Fund, supports veteran-led technology companies, and has worked with Founder Institute and Greatness community initiatives. 2003Joining the Marine Corps
In a 2024 interview, he recalled enlisting in 2003 after the September 11 attacks and serving five years on active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps. He connects that experience with his emphasis on leadership, resilience and purpose.[2]

January 2024Bunker Labs Ambassador Cohort
Bunker Labs named him a San Diego representative in its 58-member 2024 ambassador cohort. The program connected local veteran and military-spouse entrepreneurs with business networks and resources.[10]
May 2024Southern California Accelerator Graduates
Founder Institute announced that eighteen companies had completed its four-month Veteran and Southern California Accelerator program. It listed him alongside Daniel Shires, Greg Coleman and Ryan Micheletti as local directors.[11]
November 2024First Fund Closing
The Veteran Fund announced the oversubscribed closing of Fund I, targeting dual-use technologies including cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, drones, space and advanced manufacturing.[8]
November 2024Veteran Startup Pitch Competition
He joined Jason Calacanis and Brendan Aronson in judging a veteran startup pitch competition. Winner EMPEQ reported that it emerged from more than 200 entrants and secured a $100,000 investment from The Veteran Fund.[12]
May 2026Fund Investment Update
An update published under his name reported that Fund I portfolio companies had collectively raised more than $500 million and that Fund II had completed its first four investments. It also recorded his participation in JPMorgan’s inaugural Defense Action Forum.[13]
