August 12, 2025Settling Advertising and Subscription Claims
The FTC announced that Match Group, Inc. and Match Group, LLC agreed to pay $14 million in consumer redress to settle allegations concerning subscription guarantees, account lockouts after billing disputes and cancellation difficulties. The proposed order required clearer guarantee disclosures, an end to the challenged practices and simpler Match.com cancellation procedures.[8]
March 30, 2026The OkCupid Data-Privacy Case
The FTC alleged that OkCupid operator Humor Rainbow and affiliate Match Group Americas violated privacy promises by sharing user photos, location information and other data with an unrelated third party. They agreed to restrictions on misrepresenting privacy practices. A subsequent FTC case report recorded entry of the stipulated order on April 30.[9][10]
April 27, 2026Investing in Sniffies
Match Group announced a $100 million minority investment in Sniffies, a map-based social platform for GBTQ men, with an option for a future acquisition. Sniffies would continue operating independently under its founding leadership.[11]
August 4, 2026Reporting Second-Quarter Results
For the quarter ended June 30, the company reported approximately $853.1 million in revenue, down 1% year over year, and $170.5 million in net income, up 36%. Its Payers metric was 13.25 million, while Hinge revenue grew 22%.[12]
