Mark McClain is an American software entrepreneur and the co-founder and CEO of SailPoint. He previously co-founded identity management company Waveset and held a management role at Sun Microsystems after its acquisition. He wrote the management book Joy and Success At Work and has been interviewed by School of Hard Knocks.

Thoma Bravo completed an approximately $6.9 billion cash acquisition, paying shareholders $65.25 per share. SailPoint ceased NYSE trading. The announced amount represented the corporate transaction value.[10]

SailPoint returned to public markets on Nasdaq under SAIL, completing its IPO on February 14. The offering comprised 60 million shares at $23 each, including company and selling-shareholder shares.[11]
