2013First Encounter with Bitcoin Information
While taking a taxi, Mago heard the driver talk about a family member mining Bitcoin. At the time, he was busy with a full-time job and did not get further involved.[1]
March 2020: Began Investing in Bitcoin
During the significant downturn in the crypto market on "3·12," Mago entered the crypto asset market and subsequently purchased Bitcoin through an exchange.[1]
August 2020: Established Public Account
In August 2020, Mago registered the X account @magotalk, which he later used for public content publishing and industry discussions.[2]
2020–2024Early Public Activities
From the establishment of the X account in August 2020 to 2024, Mago's early public activities were mainly conducted through social platforms, gradually participating in public discussions on topics related to crypto assets, NFTs, and Web3. This stage preceded the official launch of the MagoTalk series.[2][3]
April 26, 2025: Founded MagoTalk
Mago founded and hosted the MagoTalk series. The official website archives the first episode as dated April 26, 2025. The first episode focused on changes in U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulatory policies and the development of the crypto industry, subsequently forming a consecutively numbered X Space program system.[4][5][6]
MagoTalk is a Chinese-language program discussing blockchain, decentralized finance, artificial intelligence, and financial markets. The official website lists KCVision and Steven Zhu as co-hosts.[4]
The official website archives the first episode of MagoTalk as dated April 26, 2025, titled "New SEC Chair Takes Office: Regulatory Easing? Or Just 'Old Wine in a New Bottle'?" Topics include the regulatory stances of the previous and current SEC chairs, regulatory trends during Paul S. Atkins' tenure, and potential changes facing ICOs, NFTs, DeFi, and on-chain asset trading. This date is the archive date of the first episode.[5]
May 2025: Formation of a Serialized Program
After the first episode, MagoTalk continued to update, forming a series with consecutive numbering, clear themes, and program archives. The discussion topics covered NFTs, Web3 project operations, crypto finance, and industry development. The May episodes discussed Web3 user growth and retention, the development of DeFi protocols, and the NFT narrative and community building of Snekkies.[6][7][8]
June 2025: Expansion of Content Direction
As the program continued to update, MagoTalk's discussion topics expanded from crypto industry and Web3 hotspots to financial history, economic structures, technology cycles, and technological infrastructure. June topics included Kondratiev waves, monetary evolution, the global clearing system, and the development of electricity, the internet, and blockchain.[9][10][11][12]
July 2025: Expansion into Financial Market Topics
MagoTalk further extended its content into the intersection of U.S. stocks, capital operations of listed companies, digital assets, and financial market structures. The July episodes discussed reverse mergers, SPACs, and private placements, and extended to market-making mechanisms, borrowing, and short-selling cases.[13][14]
September 20, 2025: Sam Altman, Artificial Intelligence, and Capital Special
Mago hosted MagoTalk Episode 48, "AI, Crypto, and Capital: Sam Altman's Super Narrative," with TigerHunter, KCVision, and Steven Zhu also listed in the lineup. The episode arranged ten topics around Sam Altman's experience: family and educational background, work experience and representative projects at Y Combinator, details of investing in Reddit, the process of founding OpenAI, the background of the WLD project, and other crypto, Web3, and non-crypto investment experiences; it also extended to trends in artificial intelligence, the robotics industry, and a review of Kondratiev waves. The program placed personal experience, entrepreneurial organizations, investment activities, and technology cycles within the same discussion framework.[15]
October 18, 2025: Stablecoin Mechanisms and Digital Dollar Special
Mago hosted Episode 52, "The Stablecoin Wars: The Order and Game of the Global Digital Dollar," with TigerHunter, KCVision, and Steven Zhu also in the lineup. The public agenda started with stablecoin issuers and type classifications, covering algorithmic stablecoin collapse cases, the technology and operational logic of USDC, and linking to U.S. broad money M2, U.S. Treasury bonds, rigid expenditures, and interest rate cut cycles. The poster further listed custodial reserves, protocol governance, and risk boundaries, presenting the episode's approach of examining stablecoins from product mechanisms, risks, and the macro-financial environment.[16]
November 1, 2025: ABAB News Launch
On November 1, 2025, the multilingual news and research platform ABAB News officially launched. The platform focuses on blockchain, digital assets, financial markets, artificial intelligence, technology companies, and venture capital, publishing content in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and English. Content formats include news briefs, public opinion summaries, and in-depth articles, with topics, search, and content navigation to help readers find relevant information.[17]
November 15, 2025: Jensen Huang and NVIDIA Computing Power Special
Mago hosted Episode 56, "Jensen Huang: Creator of the Computing Power Empire," focusing on graphics cards, AI chips, crypto mining demand, and global computing infrastructure, with a discussion on the relationship between NVIDIA and financial infrastructure. The preview released by Mago on November 13 clearly scheduled the event for November 15, listing himself as the X Space host.[18]
November 22, 2025: Michael Saylor and Corporate Bitcoin Reserves Special
Mago hosted Episode 57, "Michael Saylor: The Bitcoin Revolution in Corporate Treasuries," with TigerHunter, KCVision, and Steven Zhu also in the lineup. The episode focused on MicroStrategy and Michael Saylor, linking corporate Bitcoin holdings with reserve asset topics, and examining how corporate asset allocation can be combined with crypto assets. Michael Saylor, mentioned in the episode title, is the subject of discussion and is not listed as a host or panelist on the public poster.[19]
December 8, 2025: ABAB Word Launch
On December 8, 2025, the vocabulary learning product ABAB Word was launched. The product targets students, professionals, and language learners, focusing on word collection, meaning comprehension, and review exercises, providing features such as personal word banks, AI flashcards, definitions, example sentences, synonyms, and antonyms. Users can practice recalling words with flashcards, mark mastery, and use spaced repetition to reinforce memory. Web and iPhone versions are currently available.[20][21]
January 21, 2026: ABAB Link Launch
On January 21, 2026, the AI tools and website navigation platform ABAB Link officially launched. The platform aggregates artificial intelligence tools, agents, and practical web resources, targeting information search needs in learning, work, development, design, and daily life. It currently offers categorized navigation, on-site keyword search, multi-platform search entry, and featured product displays. Users can browse the included tools and websites or jump to the selected platform for searching. The platform also accepts product submissions from developers and operators, which are included after review.[22][23]
March 2026: ABAB Time Launch
In March 2026, the relationship management and follow-up web application ABAB Time was launched. The product targets entrepreneurs, investors, operators, and professionals who need to maintain client relationships, integrating contact profiles, relationship grouping, notes, interaction timelines, follow-up reminders, and birthday information in one workspace. It currently supports recording interactions via text and voice, and uses AI to organize relationship backgrounds, provide next-step actions, and suggest reconnecting based on saved records, with users reviewing suggestions and deciding how to follow up. Application scenarios include communication with clients and partners, exchanges between investors and advisors, and recruitment and community contacts.[24][25]
April 2026: ABAB Club Launch
In April 2026, the online learning platform ABAB Club was launched. The platform operates on a non-profit basis, focusing on online learning in AI, Web3, and finance. Courses are independently developed by the ABAB Club team, covering related concepts, technologies, applications, and financial knowledge.[26]
May 14, 2026: "Money Code" eBook Version
Mago published "Money Code" under the name MAGO. The book focuses on money, work, leverage, and personal decision-making in the context of artificial intelligence and the digital network environment. The official website provides EPUB versions in English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. According to the official website and EPUB publication metadata, the publication date of the English eBook version is May 14, 2026, and the Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese versions are both May 15. The above dates apply to the eBook version and do not represent the print edition's publication date.[27]
May 23, 2026: "Super Individuals" Special on AI and Web3
Mago hosted Episode 82, "AI Meets Web3: Is the Era of Super Individuals Here?" The lineup included KCVision, Steven Zhu, and DaftADAPunk and Leo Chen, both marked on the poster as co-founders of hizz.io. This episode linked AI's automatic execution of work with blockchain's automatic settlement, centering on the core question of whether traditional companies will still be needed in the future, and discussed possible changes in individual productivity and organizational forms. Compared to episodes focused on personal experience, this one introduced project builders and approached application and entrepreneurship topics from the combination of artificial intelligence and on-chain settlement.[28]
May 30, 2026: Dario Amodei and Artificial Intelligence Development Special
Mago, KCVision, and Steven Zhu formed the lineup for Episode 83, "The Man Behind Claude: What Is Dario Amodei Worried About?" Mago is listed as founder and host on the poster. The episode used Dario Amodei's departure from OpenAI and founding of Anthropic as the entry point, with the discussion centered on his concerns about the power and future impact of artificial intelligence. Together with the previous Sam Altman special, this episode covered founders of different AI companies and their development philosophies. Dario Amodei is the subject of discussion and is not listed as a guest.[29]
June 30, 2026: "AI is eating the world" eBook Version
Mago's book "AI is eating the world" discusses how artificial intelligence is changing work, wealth, business, and trust. The book is organized into four parts and 20 chapters, with a conclusion: starting from the decline in the cost of intelligence, extending to writing, programming, search, learning, media, law, and finance, then discussing cognitive leverage, workflows, agents, personal companies, and AI-native enterprises, and finally covering computing power, data centers, energy, AI sovereignty, and trust premium. The official website provides a book introduction, table of contents, and reading and download links. According to the official website and EPUB publication metadata, the publication date of the Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese eBook versions is June 30, 2026, and the English version is July 1. July 4, 2026: Crypto Payments and Traditional Payments Special
Mago hosted Episode 88, "Crypto Payments vs. Traditional Payments: The Next Generation Payment War Has Begun," with KCVision and Steven Zhu also in the lineup. The episode compared traditional payment networks such as Visa and Mastercard with stablecoins, focusing on changes in payment methods and industry competition over the next decade. It continued the previous stablecoin special, shifting the focus from issuance, reserves, and governance to payment applications and the relationship between traditional payment participants and new settlement tools.[31]
August 2026: MagoTalk Series Continues to Episode 93
August episodes included Episode 91, "Prediction Markets × AI: Who Can See the Future Sooner?"; Episode 92, "Adam Foroughi: The New King of the AI Advertising Era"; and Episode 93, "The Smurfs and Sesame Street: How Did Two Super IPs Take the World by Storm for Half a Century?" The archive dates are August 8, 15, and 29, respectively. The X audio card for Episode 93 lists Mago as the host. Names appearing in the episode topics do not indicate that the person attended as a guest.[32][33]
September 2026: ABAB Pedia Launch
In September 2026, ABAB Pedia, a vertical encyclopedia in the finance and technology sectors, was launched, primarily covering relevant individuals and organizations. The platform utilizes AI models to assist in organizing public information, outlining personal histories and organizational developments, and provides verifiable, reference-backed, and continuously updated encyclopedic content.[34]
September 14, 2026: Views on the Pace of AI Development
On September 14, 2026, Mago posted on X advocating for continued acceleration of AI development. He argued that public concerns about AI stem from uncertainty about the future, drawing analogies to the widespread adoption of technologies such as printing, electricity, and the internet. He suggested that society gradually adapts during technological revolutions and that AI will also become foundational infrastructure for work and daily life. Therefore, he believes development should not be halted or slowed due to concerns. He subsequently engaged in debate with users on this topic.[35][36]
September 16, 2026: Views on Crypto Industry Development and Regulatory Rules
In comments on U.S. crypto market legislation, Mago stated that the industry should not only wait for congressional legislation but also seek clear regulatory rules from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). He believes that ethical standards and provisions related to stablecoins may be the main points of contention hindering legislation, and maintains that the crypto industry will continue to develop.[37]
