Louis Flory

Louis Flory is an American entrepreneur and the founder and president of Effex Management Solutions, which provides contingent staffing and on-site management for manufacturing, logistics and distribution businesses. He also operates the car-content channel The Gentleman’s Garage and has been interviewed by School of Hard Knocks.

Louis Flory was born in Houston and spent part of his childhood living with his grandparents on a farm.⁠[1]

Company Disability Discrimination Case and Settlement Report

In September 2019, the EEOC sued Effex, alleging that it fired an employee because of cancer and treatment-related leave, violating disability discrimination law. In March 2021, Law360 reported that the company agreed to settle. The allegations concerned the company and do not establish a judicial finding of personal wrongdoing by Louis Flory.⁠[7][8]

School of Hard Knocks released a long interview covering his car collection, entrepreneurship and negotiation experience. He projected about $300 million in company revenue that year; this was his own estimate of business revenue.⁠[10]
