Katana (Higgsfield)
Katana is a Claude skill launched by Higgsfield on October 8, 2026, that runs inside Claude through the Higgsfield MCP: users pick a preset or upload a reference edit, add images of characters, products or clothing, and generate videos in aura-farming, motion graphics or clipping styles. Higgsfield says it is powered by AnthropicAnthropicAnthropic is an artificial intelligence research and product company founded in 2021 that develops the Claude models, assistant, and tools such as Claude Code, and operates as a public benefit corporation. September 2026Higgsfield MCP Comes to Claude
Before Katana launched, Higgsfield had already connected its creative tools to Claude through the Model Context Protocol (MCP): users add https://mcp.higgsfield.ai/mcp (opens in a new window) as a custom connector in Claude and sign in with a Higgsfield account, with no separate API key required, and generations consume the account’s Higgsfield credits at web-platform rates. Using Higgsfield’s hosted services and Adobe plugin, Claude can call more than 30 image and video models and output an editable After EffectsAdobe After EffectsAdobe After Effects is Adobe’s desktop software for motion graphics, compositing and visual effects. It was developed by CoSA, a start-up in Providence, Rhode Island, which released version 1.0 in January 1993; it became an Adobe product after Aldus acquired CoSA and Aldus merged into Adobe, and in 2019 its principal developers received a Scientific and Engineering Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.Open the full entry project.[1][1][1][1]
October 8, 2026Anthropic Launches Claude Motion
On October 8, 2026, Anthropic launched Claude Motion in beta for Claude’s Team and Enterprise plans. With Claude Motion, Claude writes code that turns text, charts, shapes and images into editable animations without using a video generation model, so there is no generated footage and no AI-generated people; the result can be downloaded as an MP4 or opened for further editing in AdobeAdobeAdobe (Adobe Inc.) is a software company headquartered in San Jose, California, founded in 1982 by John Warnock and Charles Geschke. Known for PostScript, PDF and creative software such as Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and After Effects, it moved its main creative products to Creative Cloud subscriptions from 2013 and expanded into digital marketing and generative AI; it is listed on Nasdaq under the ticker ADBE.Open the full entry, Descript, HeyGen, Higgsfield, invideo, Luma AI or RunwayRunwayRunway (Runway AI, Inc.) is a New York–based artificial intelligence company that grew out of the ITP program at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2018. October 8, 2026Katana Launched
The same day, Higgsfield launched Katana. According to its changelog, Katana is a new skill for Claude that runs on Higgsfield’s models through MCP and makes video edits in Aura Farming, Motion or Clipping styles from one reference photo; users pick a preset on the Katana page or in a Claude chat and add references for the skill to generate the edit, or simply ask Claude something like “make me an edit of this product.”[3][3][3]
In its launch post, Higgsfield said Katana is powered by Claude Motion and is the company’s most powerful AI video editing tool, letting users upload a reference to create editable motion graphics, product launch videos or aura-farming edits, available from that day in Claude via the Higgsfield MCP.[4][4][4][4]
October 2026Demo Posts and Community Presets
After the launch, Higgsfield posted a series of demos on its two official X accounts: it said it had “vibe-coded” a set of motion graphics with Claude Motion plus Katana, all code and no After Effects; that it had applied Katana to Claude Motion and got a demo result after three hours, without using Blender, Cinema 4DCinema 4DCinema 4D is 3D animation, modeling, simulation and rendering software developed by the German company Maxon, known for its MoGraph motion graphics toolset and its integration with After Effects, and widely used for broadcast graphics, advertising and film and television visual design. On October 9, 2026, Higgsfield introduced Katana community presets covering motion graphics, 3D animations, product launches, fashion, cars, travel and aura-farming edits, which users can recreate in Claude after adding their own characters, products or clothes. The prompt for a car chase demo that day was a single sentence: “Hey Claude, use Higgsfield Katana to create cool 3D car chase animation.”[8][8][8][9]

Usage and Presets
Katana’s presets come from a Higgsfield library in three categories and are available both on the site and in Claude; each edit can use up to five reference images of characters, products or clothing, and users can switch on Prompt and describe a change to adjust the result. Users can also share community presets from the Katana page by providing a 3- to 30-second motion reference video, up to 40 images and a prompt that refers to them with @; shared presets go live immediately and can be taken down after reports. The Katana page describes it as an “Aura-farming machine by Higgsfield & Claude Opus 5.5.”[3][3][3][3][3][13]
