Key facts

founding and leadership

Higgsfield was founded in 2023. Co-founder and CEO Alex Mashrabov previously led generative AI at Snap. Its subsequently disclosed co-founding team also included CTO Yerzat Dulat and chief strategy officer Mahi de Silva. The business began with proprietary video models and consumer creation tools before expanding into professional production.[1][2]

$8 million seed round and Diffuse

Higgsfield announced an $8 million seed financing led by Menlo Ventures and introduced its first mobile app, Diffuse, in selected markets. It generated personalized character videos from selfies and accepted text, reference images or videos. Initial markets included India, South Africa, the Philippines, Canada and Central Asia, with a broader rollout still planned.[3]

browser-based production platform

Higgsfield launched its browser platform in 2025, bringing ideation, storyboarding, generation, editing and post-production into one workspace. It combines in-house image and video models with third-party models, allowing tools to be selected by task. Its positioning broadened toward professional creators, brands, agencies and enterprise marketing teams.[4][5]

$50 million Series A

Higgsfield announced a $50 million Series A led by GFT Ventures, joined by BroadLight Capital, NextEquity Partners, AI Capital Partners, Menlo Ventures and Alpha Square Group. It emphasized preset-based video creation and planned to use the financing to expand its enterprise platform and global team.[1]

$80 million Series A extension

Higgsfield announced an $80 million Series A extension involving Accel, AI Capital Partners and Menlo Ventures, bringing the round above $130 million at a valuation exceeding $1.3 billion. It also reported a $200 million annual revenue run rate. That annualizes the current operating pace rather than reporting realized full-year revenue; the extension should not be added again to the cumulative Series A figure.[5]

Supercomputer rollout

Higgsfield rolled out Supercomputer, an agentic workspace spanning research, files, code, images, video and audio. A September product retrospective described how it manages visual assets, task context, model calls and specialized skills, reducing the need to move project material between chat and generation tools.[6][7]

Cinema Studio 4.0

Cinema Studio 4.0 expanded single generations to up to 30 seconds and supported up to 50 reference images, adding controls for editing pace, era, emotion, lenses and color. It also offered forward and backward video extension, shared characters and assets, and multi-user generation within a project. These are creative controls, not guarantees that every result will precisely follow instructions.[8]

$400 million Series B

Higgsfield announced a $400 million Series B led by DST Global at a $5.4 billion valuation. New investors included Tribe Capital, Goldman Sachs’ growth-equity business and Intel Capital, alongside returning backers such as Menlo. The company reported $700 million in annualized revenue and more than 30 million global users, as point-in-time company disclosures.[6]

AI Influencer update

The updated AI Influencer builds characters through menu-based appearance controls, producing matching portraits and full-body images that can be used in Cinema Studio. Its Motion tab connects to Genjutsu for transferring movement from reference footage or replacing selected elements. The company instructs users to use images and likenesses they own or have permission to use.[9]

Ad Multiplier

Higgsfield introduced Ad Multiplier in Ads Studio to create variants from a 4–30-second reference advertisement. Users can change characters, products, clothing, locations, hooks or calls to action while aiming to preserve motion, framing and editing rhythm. Generation costs vary with inputs and requested changes and are displayed in credits before submission.[10]

Topics: creator programs and content moderation

Higgsfield Earn offers payments and commercial opportunities for eligible creator work. The company describes model-level filtering, automated checks in its public community and review of user reports, with rules varying across models. Users must have the necessary rights to uploaded content and likenesses and remain responsible for how their output is used and distributed.[4][11]
