Alex Coffman

Coffman grew up in Round Rock, Texas, and worked for a property-management company in Corpus Christi early in his career.⁠[1]

In a public interview, he said he became sober from heroin at 21, then worked in food service, managed sober housing and made sales calls about mineral rights.⁠[2]

He recalled concentrating on real estate during 2018–2020, investing with longtime acquaintance Matthew Teifke in houses, duplexes and small apartment properties.⁠[2]

According to the company, Coffman became a full partner in Teifke Real Estate in 2020 and ran it with Matthew, who had founded the business earlier and subsequently brought Coffman in.⁠[1][3]

In an August 3, 2021 Voyage Austin interview, the partners and their team described supporting agents as entrepreneurs and investors. They reported 95 agents and associated construction and acquisitions businesses at that time.⁠[4]

On December 9, 2022, School of Hard Knocks published From Minimum Wage to Real Estate Millionaire, identifying Coffman in its description as a content creator and Teifke Real Estate co-owner.⁠[5]

On March 6, 2024, he signed TR3 Capital Fund II LLC’s Form D as Manager of Manager. It identified him as an executive officer and reported a March 4 first sale, a $2 million offering and $50,000 sold. These were the issuer’s figures at filing.⁠[6]

On August 12, 2024, he signed TR3 Capital Fund III LLC’s Form D in the same capacity. It listed a $10 million offering, zero sold and no first sale yet; the proposed offering amount was not money already raised.⁠[7]

As of October 2026, TR3 Capital’s website lists Coffman, Matthew Teifke and Robert McLeod as partners. A company post describes Coffman’s role in operations and strategic growth. The firm focuses on acquiring and operating multifamily properties with potential for improvement.⁠[8][9]

Teifke Real Estate’s biography also credits him with founding Absolute Recovery, a sober-living business supporting people recovering from addiction, without specifying its founding date.⁠[1]

He co-founded The enTREpreneur Community and leads the One Deal Away Bootcamp. Its curriculum covers finding opportunities, underwriting and structuring deals, negotiations, letters of intent and questions from participants.⁠[10]

He co-hosts The Real Estate Podcast with Matthew, discussing real estate and entrepreneurship. In Generations of Wealth, he reflected on weak cash flow from smaller properties and argued that budgets should accommodate professional management costs.⁠[1][2]
