Advice Shared on Hard Knocks Business

He advised young entrepreneurs not to take themselves so seriously and to know why they are doing what they do: if the aim is only to feel that they are enough, no amount of money or achievement will make them feel so (video at 00:26).[7]

He said many people substitute effort for results, and that the outcome of a business is not the business itself but the person being served (video at 01:14).[7]

He advised business owners not to manage their employees but to manage the promises instead, since the promise is what a brand is about (video at 01:20).[7]

Asked for one piece of wisdom for the younger generation, he said that it is not about oneself, and to make people laugh (video at 01:35).[7]
