Jon Robson

2021Founding Mamedica

In 2021 Robson founded the medical cannabis clinic Mamedica. The company was incorporated on August 17, 2021, under the name DELTA 9 CLINICS LIMITED and renamed MAMEDICA LIMITED on October 28 of that year, with Robson serving as a director since incorporation.⁠[1][2][2][3][3]

Mamedica is a private clinic with a linked pharmacy that issues cannabis-based prescriptions, from oils to cannabis flower, for patients with pain, psychiatric, neurological, palliative care, and cancer conditions who have not found satisfactory results with conventional medication.⁠[4][4]

2023Consultation-and-Delivery Model and the 4C LABS Partnership

In April 2023 Robson explained that chronic pain is the leading symptom for medical cannabis prescriptions; after a consultation the pharmacy team confirms the order and payment, and medication is delivered by secure courier within three to four working days. He said the company’s aim is to offer an alternative to conventional medicines for people struggling with severe medical conditions who want to regain a sense of normalcy in their daily lives.⁠[1][1][1][1]

In June 2023 Mamedica signed a strategic distribution agreement with the Canadian company 4C LABS to bring its Canadian medical cannabis products to the UK market.⁠[5][5]

September 24, 2025£4.5 Million Round Led by Casa Verde

On September 24, 2025, Mamedica announced a £4.5 million funding round led by Casa Verde, a US venture capital firm focused on the cannabis sector, with the money to be used to streamline its supply chain, expand clinical access, enhance its digital healthcare platform, and promote medical cannabis education. Mamedica offers specialist treatment for chronic and neurological conditions, and its digital platform enables remote consultations with specialist clinicians and next-day nationwide medication delivery.⁠[6][6][6]

By September 2025 Mamedica had treated more than 10,000 patients, 7,500 of whom were actively under care. Robson said the funding marked a pivotal milestone in the company’s mission to transform patient care in the UK.⁠[6][6]

November 30, 2025Interview with The Venture Room

On November 30, 2025, The Venture Room released a street interview filmed in Kensington, London, in which Robson described Mamedica as a digital platform that allows patients to be prescribed cannabis and have it delivered to their door. In the program he said the company had launched about three and a half years earlier, had closed a funding round the previous month with a venture capital firm co-founded by Snoop Dogg, and expected revenue of about 28 million that year.⁠[7][7][7][7]
