Before becoming a full-time creator, he worked several jobs: as a mentor in a prison, at the Co-op, and at a tech company. Advice Shared on The Venture Room
“I always say yourself. You are the person that people are investing in.” He advises investing in becoming a better person, watching successful people, trying to emulate them, and offering more value, which is what takes you far (at 14:34 in the video).[2][2]
“Trying to please everyone is like the worst thing you can do. You find your core audience and you work towards them.” He says that if someone does not like your work, it does not mean it is not good, only that it is not for them; your core audience will tell others about you (at 15:11 in the video).[2][2][2]
“Keeping your money in your bank account doesn’t mean that you are rich. Sometimes you got to make your money work for you.” He says this means reinvesting, seeing one investment work and then finding the next, and always having an exit plan (at 15:47 in the video).[2][2]
“What you put in is what you get out of it.” He argues that people often expect things to be handed to them, but you have to put in ten times more than you get back just to break even; to get in front of the right people, go and ask them what they need with your ideas in hand, and do not take rejection personally (at 16:05 and 16:21 in the video).[2][2][2][2]
